My breast implant surgery failed, i was promised to obtain guaranteed results in a different hospital. I woke up in an urgent care of this hospital 7 hours later to only find out that my surgery was not successful and they put a tube through my lungs which disabled my functioning and physical ability. I had flashbacks after I woke up, they were taking me with an ambulance from one facility to another I was crying for help because I could not breathe in the meantime I was semi conscious while being transferred with ambulance to this hospital. After waking up I was still struggling with breathing almost constant shortage of breath, could not cough or sneeze as my lungs and chest were in severe pain. No one spoke English. an hour later I was rushed through to sign some papers there even though I told them I’d not sign anything without a lawyer or until I’m fully off the sedative. I was terrified to hear about what happened during the surgery and suffered so much pain injuries, emotional stress, moral and physical damage in addition to that the conditions of the facility (Avrupa Safak Hastenesi)i was in were way below standard, i experienced abusive behavior such as being constantly put on sleeping meds against my will, mistreatment by the staff, being kept at a cold temperature and being exposed to death of other patients. They moved me into a private room only after I requested multiple times after 4 days. Moreover, my body was being sustained on only meds without any proper nutrition, the food they fed me was trash, eventually i lost almost 5kg in just a week which overall was terrifying and traumatizing experience. Little did I know I was forced to stay in that facility longer than expected due to charges $4000 without any receipts. The staff in urgent care was instructed to keep me hostage until I paid the amounts I was charged, Due to suffering from pain, injuries, low care standards of the facility and the environment i was in, my body was suffering endless pain, hunger, lack of energy, immobility, emotional stress, moral and physical damage. I was discharged after a week of being kept hostage in this hospital. This was a medical malpractice and they just transferred me from one hospital to the other and stopped answering my inquiries, up until today they have not still given my epicrisis report or any copy of the documents I signed nor offered any compensation for all of the damages caused. I met other surgeons and experts in this field to get a medical assessment they confirmed it as a medical malpractice caused by the surgeon and his lack of experience. They are being sued at the moment. The legal process has begun

I arrived at the Istanbul airport in September 2022 & couldn’t breathe/vomited. Blood pressure 60/65. They took me to this hospital but first I had to hand over my passport to the police. After I arrived & was evaluated they said I had asthma & had to stay for 3 day (they demanded $3k dollars). The next morning I seen a wonderful cardiologist that correctly diagnosed me with a pulmonary embolism. I was in ICU & they kept demanding money even in the ICU! I never received a complete itemization of the bill or doctor’s notes. Before I could leave I had to pay $7200. OR they would call the police!!! This hospital is awful! Also don’t rely on the US embassy to help. They just told me to hire a Turkish attorney to get my information from the hospital!

They won’t let me post if I don’t give any stars. Truth is this hospital deserves no stars at all. My father fainted at Istanbul airport and he was taken to this hospital. They have taken my parents passport, none of the staff speak English and we are unable to reach them. They are charging ridiculous amounts without even showing the receipts. We have no idea what tests the doctors are doing. It’s like my parents have been kept hostage and they won’t be allowed to board without getting paid. If you fly to Istanbul, keep a medical and travel insurance by your side and if they say they are taking you to this hospital, just RUN!

This hospital took such good care of me after I fainted just before flying out of IST. The staff are amazing! The nurses and doctors all were so helpful and professional, I am so grateful for the care I have received!!! Highly recommended.

The hospital is modern, with doctors and specialist assistants, good and generous people. I went with my best friend who had a nose job. I spent 3 days with her in the hospital, in good conditions, the nurses took great care of us. The person who was with us for a long time and who made us feel safe, is Mrs. Serkan Raziye Yuca, a generous lady with a big heart. I warmly recommend this hospital, where my girlfriend and I felt at home. :) For those who want to have nose surgery, I warmly recommend Dr. Orhan Katircioglu, a specialist doctor who works with love and passion.
